Hello! I’m Jules
I’m Julietta Schoenmann and in 2009 I got my allotment after almost two years of waiting for my name to come to the top of the list. I set about transforming it from a weedy no man’s land to the productive little plot it has now become. Thus started my passion for growing vegetables and my interest has continued to develop from there. I’ve learnt so much in the intervening years: from courses, books and workshops but also from allotment neighbours and gardening friends who have generously given their advice and tips on how things can be done better. I completed the Grow Leader course in 2019 (https://www.avonwildlifetrust.org.uk/grow-leader-course) which taught me about wildlife-friendly food-growing and also introduced me to many like-minded people who share a deep interest and enthusiasm for organic food production. This led me and my friend Ana Sanchez to create our forest garden at Bridge Farm Bristol (https://bridgefarmbristol.co.uk/land/) and sparked my interest in selling perennial vegetables.
